The situation
Audiobooks exist for the catalogue somebody else licensed. The PDF on your desktop, the article you saved, the book on your shelf that was never recorded — none of that is listenable.
What we built
Three ways in: snap a cover, import a PDF, or paste a link — and hear the author's own words, nothing rewritten
Playback starts on the first paragraph while the rest is still being synthesised — no waiting on the whole book
Word-level highlighting driven by character-level alignment from ElevenLabs, so the text tracks the voice exactly
Paragraph-sized segments, so seeking lands somewhere meaningful
